I really wanted to just e-mail the owner personally, because I don't like to leave negative reviews, but there was not that option. I feel it is important to share my experience tonight. I will start by saying we LOVE to support Skogies and always have. We keep our expectations real about the food and have enjoyed the atmosphere since we moved to the lake. But tonight I ordered a patty melt with the expectations of receiving a patty melt: burger, cheese, grilled onions, thousand island dressing on grilled rye. What I received was a plain cheeseburger on a bun. The kitchen should have informed our waitress that none of the ingredients for a patty melt were available before fulfilling my order. Our waitress was wonderful and felt terrible, but I assured her it wasn't her fault.
If you can't produce what you list on your menu, then make sure your servers know that item is not available.

Such a perfect place to eat & drink outside!
The sail canopies covered us from the sun, but allowed plenty of airflow.
The views were very nice & the singer was talented, & it was nice to be able to hear him & still be able to carry on a conversation because he wasn't too loud.
The waitress was very nice & attentive.
Too bad the food was Meh... we will probably be back though, but we will definitely try other menu items.

Country band was playing live music when we got there on Saturday night. The service was excellent and they even brought food out for the puppy! Definitely dog friendly! Gorgeous view of the lake. I think they’re only open on weekends in the off season, since it’s primarily a boating restaurant. Free and ample parking. Bathroom is a small walk, but not bad. Delicious fish and sweet potato tots, and the cider drink (alcoholic) was so refreshing! Only thing was we wiped off our own table. Everything else was excellent.

This is a great little spot on the north end of Lake Lanier. You must try the grouper fingers if you go. Some of the best onion rings I’ve ever had Sunday. Brunch is also amazing if you can make it then if not, the regular menu is also great. There is also free boat parking.

Service was excellent. Laid back, lake spot...highly recommended
